FAQ

What time should we get there?
- We strongly recommend arriving around 5:00 AM on both days. This allows enough time for security checks, traffic, parking, and securing good seating.
- Seating is first come, first serve, and families who arrive later often struggle to find good viewing spots for their Airman. Parking can also become difficult as it fills up quickly.
- Every graduation morning can be unpredictable, so arriving early ensures a smooth and stress-free experience.
- 📸 Axion World Media photographers will link up with you around 7:00 AM, either at one of the two designated spotlight areas (based on where you’re seated) or at the flagpole.
What should we wear and or bring to the ceremony?
Both ceremony days are about 1 hour long, so we recommend dressing comfortable and weather-appropriate. Be sure to check the forecast and prepare for heat, cold, or possible rain—conditions can change quickly.
🎒 What many families bring:
- Cushioned seats or stadium chairs
- Towels or blankets (for seating and comfort)
- Items to mark/hold your seating area
As long as you have something placed down to secure your spot, you’ll be fine. Seating is first come, first serve, so simple items like a towel or blanket go a long way.
Do I need base access or a pass?
- Yes — entry onto base requires a valid government-issued ID and you must be listed on your Airman’s approved guest list.
- All visitors are subject to background checks before being granted access. If you are not on the approved list, you may be denied entry.
- ⚠️ Important Tip:
- If you have any concerns about access, visit the Visitor Center before ceremony days — not the morning of. Lines can be very long, and delays could cause you to miss important moments with your Airman.
- Also all Axion World Media Team has access to base. We all are military veterans and hold a Government Military ID Card.
Is hiring a professional photographer worth it?
For many families — 100% YES.
BMT graduation is a once-in-a-lifetime milestone, and a professional ensures those moments are captured the right way, without stress.
A professional photographer captures:
- 🤝 First Hug (Tap-Out Moments)
- 🥹 Emotional reactions (tears, pride, salutes)
- 👨‍👩‍👧 Candid family interactions
- 🔠High-quality, zoomed-in shots during formations (moments you can’t get from the stands)
With Axion World Media, we capture every important moment from start to finish, so your family doesn’t have to worry about missing anything.
